In 2002, amid rumors, the world patiently waited 5 years for the introduction of Ford's all-new 2-seat Thunderbird Roadster! Ford was taking the Thunderbird back to it's original limited production roots!! The design features aspects of the original 1955, 1962 and other earlier T-Bird's. Ford did not want to talk about "Retro" styling as it wanted to focus on the high tech end! The exterior design ended up extremely smooth and is a real eye catcher! Now you can have an old school style, drop-top 2-seater with all the road manners that makes touring fun! Get this, the trunk is big enough to handle 2 sets of Golf Clubs!!! Ford called it "RELAXED SPORTINESS", all the style of the old Bird with the luxury of a new Jaguar!

Hop inside to sexy dual-power seats wrapped in Black Leather with Red accent inserts! The instruments are beautifully rendered with white face gauges and vintage style green pointers! The center dash/console contains easy to reach Climate Controlled Air Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation and in dash AM/FM Compact Disc Player! Most of which was taken directly from it's 2 sisters, the Lincoln LS and Jaguar S-Type! The leather wrapped steering wheel comes complete with Cruise Control Buttons and it's column has a Power Tilt and Telescopic feature! Nice and Comfy with everything in reach! Overall the interior for a couple is "Intimate and Romantic"!

Driving this new style Bird is an exciting and rewarding experience! Power is provided by impressively peppy 240 cube 3.9 litre V8 while producing 252 Horsepower! Smooth with good gas mileage! The engineers did a good job of combining feel and sound, It bubbles like an old big block V8 at Idle! The transmission is a 5-speed automatic with over drive! Zero to 60 in about 7 second flat, not bad! Plenty peppy for the open road! Four wheel independent suspension, rack-n-pinion steering, 4-wheel disc brakes and anti-lock braking makes for great handling, stopping and overall road feel!
