Listing Description
This STi is in beautiful condition and is scary fast. When you put your foot in it, it’s an incredible adrenaline rush! It simply puts the power down and rushes forward, while emitting a primal scream. This car has been set up for competitive road racing. The owner, who is in his sixties, intended to run it in Nevada’s Silver State Classic road race, as well as other open road races in the west, but never got the chance. It is licensed for street use, as all cars entered in the Silver State Classic race must be street legal. In fact, the owner occasionally uses it for his regular commuting.
This car is not for novices, and requires a disciplined and skilled driver! It will simply blow the doors off those guys who think they’ve got fast cars! There is a boost selector switch located to the left of the steering wheel (under a protective cover) that allows the driver to switch from boost up to around 15lbs. to 30lbs. boost. Then there is another push button selector that allows five different degrees of computer mapping, while on the fly. The driver can also rotate a wheel to select the amount of power he/she wishes to direct to the front and rear axles. It’s possible to go from 100% of the power to be directed to the rear wheels all the way to 100% of the power to be directed to the front wheels. Or he/she can simply lock both front and rear axles.
The engine and tuning work was done by a well-known professional Subaru racing/speed shop in Georgia. They have indicated they are willing to discuss their work on this car. In fact, their website shows this car on their chassis dynamometer. Any new buyer will be given the name of the shop and their phone number.
This car has been through tech inspection for the Silver State Classic Challenge Race, and was qualified to run at speeds up to 165 mph on the Nevada highway where the race is held twice each year. It has a roll bar system (made by I/O Port), and a G-Force 5-point harness system for both the driver and the navigator. Also included is a new chrome fire extinguishing bottle mounted on the roll bar. The photos will show two GPS systems mounted on the dash. They are not included with the car. They are removable and won’t leave any marks on the dash when they’re taken from the car at time of sale.
If you keep your foot out of it the car will return about 15 mpg while used for street commuting – but it’s not easy to keep your foot out of it. The sound from the rear (which is the view other drivers will get) is awesome. It’s not the typical Japanese rice-rocket blat but a deep and mellow bass at idle, to a deep throated wail at full throttle.

In closing, The best of both worlds, a Streetable Racer and Looker! A ton was spent on this car to get it to where it is today, so please don’t expect to buy it for the same price you’d pay for an ordinary factory stock WRX STi that puts out about 240 hp to the wheels. It has never been in an accident, has never had any paint work and has never had any kind of a re-spray.
