Listing Description

2000 Chevrolet 1500 X-Cab 2WD:

If you are looking at this Rig I would bet you don't want the run of the mill daily driver! You want one that is "Too Kool For School"! One that will merge with traffic with the greatest of ease or leave em in a foggy cloud of "What was That?"! Although this dude sucks the weeds, the over-riding design criteria for this vehicle was Functionality, Looks and Loads of Power!! The owner wanted a vehicle that could be driven on a daily basis without any drawbacks!

Under the hood this baby pack's a punch with a 345 hp 6.0 liter Caddy Motor that is 100% stock internally. Resting on the top and in the center rides a polished "Magna Super Charger" with a water to air inter-cooler! The combined package produces an estimated whopping 500HP Plus! The super charger has a custom built program that has two modes. The first setup delivers 5 psi of boost and easy shifts. When you activate the “tow/haul” mode in the transmission the second mode is activated! Hold On! The shifts are higher in the rpm range, the super charger produces 7 + psi of boost. At 59 mph the truck will not shift into fourth gear. At 62 mph it shifts to fourth and will shift back into third at 59 mph. All the other shift patterns are similarly aggressive in this mode. The transmission is recently new with less than 5,000 miles and is factory stock! Rampant Horsepower on Demand! 91 octane is required! The truck will deliver over 20 miles per gallon on the highway at 80 miles per hour. The exhaust manifolds are stock however the exhaust system has been replaced with magna-flow mufflers. Great tone! Quiet performance to the Max!

On the underside and as low as this truck sits, there are no clearance problems as a daily driver except common sense. The ride is smooth and firm. The truck corners and handles extremely well! In order to get there, the Owner a "GM Dealer", spent many hours moving miscellaneous attaching brackets underneath the truck to maximize ground clearance. The end result was a suspension that is extremely dependable and works! This truck has zero wheel hop and launches hard and straight!

How do you go so low?? The front suspension has a 4” spindle drop. The left front spring was replaced with a three-quarter ton extended cab short box. The right front spring was replaced with a half-ton long box. The reason for this was the fact that the gas tank and the driver cause the truck to lean lower on the driver’s side than the passenger. The original half-ton springs made the truck sit three-quarter of an inch to low in the front. He did not want to go with an airbag suspension because in his opinion they are too much maintenance. No matter how meticulous you are with the plumbing of the airlines they leak. The shocks have all been replaced with lifetime nitrogen gas units!

The rear suspension has been lowered using a 6” frame C-notch. The rear axle has been linked to the frame in the rear using a custom-built triangular rubber mounted bar. It is attached to the back of the housing with a bracket that bolts to the cover bolts. Custom ladder bars were installed that mount over the axle to the leaf spring bracket and attached to the frame. These ladder bars are also rubber mounted and are equal length and parallel to the centerline of the axle and the eye of the front leaf spring perch. No noise and no binding of the suspension as it moves. The factory transmission mount was removed and a new one was fabricated to give 4” more ground clearance!

The interior has been replaced with “KatSkins” leather and heated seats were added to both buckets! Other nice creature comforts added include: Auto Dimming, Compass, Outside Temperature Rearview Mirror! In the Tunes category you will find a "Pumped Up" Killer CD System with two twelve’s under the rear seat and XM RADIO!!! Fresh Sweet, Sanitary and Ready!

On the outside the body was treated to a better looking 2000 GMC Nose and the entire body was treated to a Sooper Slick Kustom Tri-Color Finish of PPG basecoat clear-coat! The body side finish even reaches completely into the Door Jambs! A Trailer Hitch is even hidden behind the license plate! NICE!! Dressed Up and Riding Right with plated 20 INCH Torque Thrust II's wrapped in 255/35 ZR 20 Rubber! Slick!!

In closing, if you are looking for that special driver, cruiser and/or trailer puller! Step on up and save a bunch, as these Mods cost a ton! You save at a fraction and will have instant fun! $29,995 buy now! Good luck!
