Now for a little Jeep History! With a soft-top these unit's are "America's Only Roadster Pick-up!" Only 27,792 Scrambler's were produced from 1981 to 1986! The Jeep Scrambler is a "Limited Edition Classic"! Production totals by year, show a successive decline: 1981; 8355 / 1982; 7759 / 1983; 5405 / 1984; 4130 / 1985; 2015 / 1986; 128. The last 2 years of production were the lowest as prices dropped along with demand, they were no longer produced after 1986! The maximun engine size was an option, a 110 horsepower in-line 6 cylinder 258 engine could be ordered in place of Pontiac-built 82 horsepower 4 cylinder 151 cubic inch engine! Of course, there was room for more!
So Indeed, this Solid Survivor is very rare in it's current un-molested condition! With a speedo reading of just over 75,000 actual miles and showing it's original paint/trim, there is no question as to what you are investing in!
