Description

Yep, as you probably already figured, this is not your run of the mill early Ford F250 tow rig! The vision of a long time and well known owner of a Milwaukee Machine/Fabrication Shop! Completed in the mid 80's, petted, protected, preserved (heated garage) and enjoyed over years with only 45,000 documented actual miles! Much of the shocking power train required special hand built molds, tedious machining and time consuming fitment! A ingenious and powerful one of a kind combination by the owner/builder/machinist. Time Warp to the Mid 80's, Read on for more... In order to accept the high torque power train, the builder used an additional F250 frame to box and support prior to assembly. Once complete is was time to attack the task of fitting the "Monster V-653 Detroit Diesel Power" between her legs and under the hood! Many of the stainless steel/aluminum/polished components were hand crafted including the Blower Housing, Air Intake/Filter, Valve Covers, Plumbing and Cast Stainless Exhaust/Header System! Transfer of the hellacious power is handled by none other than a Allison AT-540 Transmission (up-dated to AT-545). I can assure you this baby (to coin a phrase) will pull not 1 but 2 house's, Ha! Other chassis features include: Trussed Front Axle, Boxed Frame, 50 Gallon Stainless Fuel tank, Power Disc Front Brakes, Power Steering, American Chrome Wheels with New Rubber, Stainless Louvered Battery Box and more.... Engine, Transmission & Differential Technical/Operational: 318 cubic inches, 202 brake horsepower @ 2800 RPM, 421 ft lbs of torque @1800 RPM, 2 stroke engine dynamically balanced, governed top speed 75 MPH, cruise all day wide open 3200 RPM max, Allison at545 transmisson-4 speed, 354-1 rear gear ratio. While all of this was going on, the 100% rust free body was stripped naked and treated to a lickable coat of factory Bronze Metallic by John Stimac of the Rod Shop located in Cudahy, Wisconsin (sub-page shots of him in the 80's laying the paint on)! Once dry custom pin striping (now old school) was laid on by the best! Hand built TEAK Running Boards that are like everything else, Strong as a Bull! The interior was treated to a contrasting pleated/rolled/embroidered Naugahyde trim throughout! Other nifty features include: Air Horns (of course), CB Radio, Cassette, Sliding Back Glass, Tachometer, Full Instrumentation, Chip Guard, Bed Liner, Bed Tonneau Cover and much more..... In Closing, Time Warp preservation indeed, just like it was completed yesterday!! Truly a Labor of Love, Imagination and Power! A rare and fascinating vehicle that is a true One of a Kind! BUY NOW!! GOOD LUCK!!!! Known Items: Free and Clear Titled with Documented 45,000 actual miles by the owner/builder for well over 20 years! An amazing 80's Style Show Truck that has survived well! Starts, Runs and Drives perfect! Driven rarely (never winter) and always stored in a heated garage! You will wake up the neighborhood with the unmistakable sound of this power house! Now as I always say. Not Now and Not Perfect (none are) but an amazing 1 of a Kind survivor!
