1969 Buick GS 400 Convertible

One of only 1,303 GS 400 Convertibles produced with an automatic transmission while total GS 400 production was a very low 1,564, this is one rare piece of drop top Muscle Car history! A good solid and honest Western Washington car that was sold new in Shelton and now residing in Seattle. Supporting it's history, this car comes with the original Protect-O-Plate!!! 

Yep, its an original 400ci 4bbl V8 equipped with factory Ram-Air Induction! Straight out of the factory box these cars produced a whopping 340 horsepower @ 5,000 rpm with an amazing 440lbs of torque @ only 3,200 rpm! Boasting a 4.040 bore with a 3.900 Stroke and 10.25:1 Compression, power was tire smoking plentiful! Professionally rebuilt in 1996 with low miles, this one's very healthy and fast!! Other nice power features include Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes!

This is a non-restored car that has been well cared for, preserved and enjoyed over the years! The original Lime Green Poly was understandably & professionally converted (jamb to jamb) to a period correct Pale Yellow. It's Black POWER Convertible Top in great condition was replaced in 1997. The original black interior seating, trim and dash are in exceptional condition! Also equipped with factory Speed Alert and Remote Driver Side Mirror. Updated AM/FM cassette with box speakers behind the front seats. In order to safely monitor it's bodily functions, other updates include Aftermarket Tachometer and 3-pod under-dash  Volt, Temp and Oil Gauges!

Known Items: Good solid Northwest history with original Protecto-Plate! This is a Non-Restored, Well Cared For, Maintained and Documented Survivor with many receipts. It's body is super straight, very shiny and looks great from a very short distance with a professional color change several years ago. The floor pans are very solid and all panels appear factory original, with one very small rust spot in the floor pan that is noted on the sub-page of pictures complete with undercarriage shots, nothing major that needs repair and/or attention, but there. It is obvious that this car was a garage queen based on the spectacular condition of the factory chrome and trim, which shows very minor age. The interior is very clean, tidy and well preserved from the dashboard to the floorboards, also with minimal age/use flaws. The weather striping is original and shows minor expected age. Starts, Runs and Drives Wonderfully with NO known issues. Please note: What is believed to be the original cylinder block was resurfaced when rebuilt (see sub-page receipt) and the block stamp is no longer visible, complete engine authentication is not possible.
