1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Split Window Coupe

Ok Sparky, I don't know about you but there is something about a "63 Split Window Vette" that just Trips my Trigger! Classic lines that are so slick you swear she is ready for take-off!  Pure SEX in motion! Her rear view just says SEE YA! The sexiest production car ever produced, at least in my book! That's why I will go off track for a moment with a trip down "Memory Lane"! 

Let's see what were we doing in 1963? On the Boob Toob, "My Favorite Martian" had me wondering how he raised his antenna's! "Petticoat Junction" well, Dad and I watched together! Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" and "The Outer Limits" caused nightmares! Steve McQueen performed "The Great Escape" on a motorcycle! Mom's hair was like a Ten Gallon Hat wrapped in a Bun! I always wondered why she had a Styrofoam head with this Hairball pinned to it! Finally, The Los Angeles Dodgers and Sandy Koufax (who struck out 15 in game one) Swept the New York Yankees! The Chicago Bears Beat the New York Giants for the NFL Title! Yep, this was all going on when you Dreamed of owning a "Sexy Sting Ray! Wow! Take me back! Now's your chance!

On Track! Only 10,594 of these lady's were built and this would the "One and Only Year" of the Seductive Split Window due to visibility reason's! Under the hood rests a fresh and smooth running late model GM 350 ZZ4 Crate Motor! Yep, the one with the Aluminum Heads! Less than 2000 miles and very spunky! Dressed with some great polished billet Bowtie valve covers while the rest of the under-hood retains that stock 60's feel and look with factory chrome!! Tight, Clean and Fresh! Nicely hooked up to a Fun and Tight Four Speed Tranz controlled by the stock shifter that changes the ratios to the Posi Rear Differential! Breathing just fine with stock exhaust manifolds and New Dual Exhaust routed the way it should be! To handle the stopping chores you will find a nice addition up-front with DISC BRAKES! The underside of this baby is rock solid, clean and dry as a bone! (Make sure you visit the sub-page of pix!) A Fun, Safe and Clean Driver!! 

On the outside and inside, her Classic Straight Lines are finished in "Silver Blue" with a stock "Dark Blue" Interior! Spectacular factory Stainless Trim and Deep Chrome offer reflections of your dream! Dressed up in nice Knock-Off Wheels wrapped in period correct easy to burn thin bias rubber! Get it!! What is that smell Honey? It's only the tires Baby! Lost again! Anyway she Look's Good, Runs Good and Will Be a Blast to Own!!

In Closing, I enjoyed listing this vehicle as I found her Loads of Fun with Classic L@@KS and Sassy P@WER! Cars like this one are Fun to Own and Affordable with a No Excuses Presence that can be enjoyed in many different ways from the Casual Observer's admiration to the One Who Turns the Key!! A Coveted and Desirable 63 Split Window babe that will bring years of Joy to the Enthusiast!! While doing so, her value will continue to grow! Now it's safe to play with yer $$, isn't it! Known Items: A Great Solid DRY Climate Body and Frame! No Signs of any side, rear or front panel replacement or any Corrosion, period. A wonderfully straight body with correct lines! The paint is very professional in nature and carries the correct texture for the era, NOT overdone! The original color was "Daytona Blue" (dark) and now finished in a period correct "Silver Blue". Nice Complete Finish from Jamb to Jamb. Again, Professional! The factory stainless is spectacular and the chrome is near perfect!! The Glass is Great and Believed the Original, Nice with only a VERY slight wiper-use haze on the front windscreen (very acceptable but there) and one very small chip repair. Great Original Glass and Stainless trim, which gives a great idea of how sweet she really is! Overall a very tight Fit and Finish throughout! Very presentable with classic age! Age unknown but Nice!!

The Dark Blue interior is very clean with No noted Dash Cracks, Wear or Tears! Age unknown and likely use is more time than miles. Again, very presentable with classic age! All gauges operative with the exception of the common clock. CLEAN, NEAT and TIDY! 

Runs and drives great! No signs of any overheat issues. New GM 350 ZZ4 Crate Motor with less than 2000 miles! The clutch felt great and the shifter TIGHT! Manual steering allows you too get the feel of the road! Thin Bias tires add to the ease of use and classic feel! Overall a Fun Driver with Plenty of Power! I pulled the get outta Dodge move while testing and she "Hunkered Down" with that Great POSI FEEL! 

In Closing, Not Perfect and Not New but a GREAT EXAMPLE of history preserved that you can DRIVE when you have the desire! Great Show-n-Shine Driver! You can spend the Big $ on a NCRS Top Car or Buy one to Safely Play with your $! NO EXCUSE'S Fun for a Fraction of the Bucks!
