Description

Obviously, if you taken the time to review the 3 web pages with over 70 photos of this Bubble Top, you will agree that it's So Fine and equipped with a 409!  I could ramble on but as that song rumble's thru your head, I will get on with nothing but the facts!

A complete and thorough Body-Off Restoration of a known solid Arizona "348-Big Block-Posi Survivor" with a few added desirable trim/power touches! Purchased in Northeast Arizona by the current owner in August of 1991! It was completely disassembled, each and every screw, nut and bolt was bagged and identified! Basically nothing went untouched meaning that all parts were either replaced with new or restored to new condition! During this time, the owner was purchasing everything new that was available, this included the entire interior glass, complete undercarriage (front end items, shocks, brake lines, ect.) The complete frame was stripped and powder-coated along with the inner wheel wells and all related hardware! Updated 2" inch dropped spindles and disc brakes were placed up-front.

While it was originally equipped with a 348 4bbl V8, Manual Trans and Posi-Traction Differential, it was later decided to make some exciting performance changes! When a 409 became available, the owner couldn't resist the opportunity to place a 409 Dual 4bbl between her legs! Completely & Professionally rebuilt with Ross Forged Pistons, Mild Hydraulic Performance Cam, Offenhauser Intake w/dual Carter 500 cfm Carbs and Uni-Lite Electronic Ignition! Coordinating the transfer of power is a completely rebuilt Borg Warner T-10 4-Speed Trans while the factory Posi-Differential was fitted with 411 Gears! Rip Snort'n Muscle! This car is very fun to drive!!

The original Midnight Blue Body and Blue Interior was restored to it's original glory! The virtually rust free and solid Arizona body was stripped from the floor pans to the roof! The ORIGINAL floor pans were treated to a coat of period correct Oxide Primer while the ORIGINAL Body panels were massaged to perfection for the coat of factory color! Every stitch of chrome was either re-plated or replaced and all stainless trim was polished! For that extra touch, many Early SS Pieces were acquired, restored and correctly placed on the body! The current Whistle Straight and Mirror-Like finish was professionally laid on in 2004 by a Well Known Early Chevy Restorer, One of the best in the Biz, Patrick's Classy Cars of Arizona! Every year Patrick brings some of the Highest Quality Early Chevy's to Barrett-Jackson @ Scottsdale and they always fetch TOP $$! Interior wise, all of it's original colors and trim were kept intact with the insertion of new re-production factory materials. Again, for that extra touch, certain non-correct items were added for a Muscle/SS touch (SS Passenger Grab Handle, 64 SS Console, Gauge Pack & Column Tach)!

In Closing, I think you get the idea, this is a very nice, solid and wonderfully restored "Early 60's Muscle Car" with very desirable enhancements! You could never duplicate this car compared to what you will pay to buy it done! Not only that, you will have a instant satisfaction and way more fun! Please read below known items and let the over 70 pictures tell the rest of the story! The owner/restorer says "It's Time to Go and You Win"!! Priced Fairly! BUY NOW!! $Pending  EASY FINANCING GOOD LUCK!!!!

Known Items: Simple! Purchased by the current Arizona owner/restorer in 1991 in the Show Low area of Sunny Arizona! It has evolved into what I've mentioned above and is what you see today! (original ad on sub-page) A complete nut/bolt Body-Off high quality restoration on an original 1961 Impala (Midnight Blue Exterior, Blue Interior, 348 4bbl V8, Manual Trans, Posi-Traction)! Less than 200 miles on the Paint and Power-Train in 2004 and overall 2,500 miles since major completion. The body was virtually rust free, the only rust corrected was common/minor repair to the wheel lip of the existing original qtr panels. Photo documentation of the vehicle prior to and during it's restoration, is available to the lucky buyer! The 64 SS console is not mounted for easy removal to obtain a stock look, if desired. Finally, Not Perfect, Not New (none are) but I would say it's honest, very solid and a very nice Muscle Car! You could be singing, "She's So Fine, MY 409"!
