1960 Edsel Ranger 4 Door Hardtop Model 57A

In Feburary 1959, Henry Ford II attempted to dispel the rumors circulating in the auto industry about Edsel's forthcoming demise. Ford Motor Co's president assured the world that the Edsel was to be a permanent member of the FORD family of fine cars! These cars made their debut in October and featured a completely new body with numerous engineering improvements. This year would be their last! Total production for all models ended at only 2,846! Only 104 model 57A's were built! A RARE One indeed! What a collectable! This one is more than likely the BEST ORIGINAL 1960 4 door hardtop in the Country! A Restoration Benchmark for others because of it's ORIGINALITY!! A great addition to any collection!

The current owner has kept her inside, pristine and well cared for since July 4th 1971 (32 Years)! Purchased from another Edsel Club Member in California who bought her from the Original owner in 1968 with 58,000 miles!! This car is 100% original with the exception of a correct "Alaskan Gold" re-spray in 1973! NO RUST ANYWHERE! The "Polar White Roof, Chrome and all upholstery are all original! The plastic covers were always on the seats and the plastic has been re-done to protect the seats! Equipped with the original 352 CI 4bbl V8 that was rebuilt at 89k! Loaded with Dual Power Drive, Tinted Glass (all), Factory A/C, Spotlite Mirror, 4 way Manual Seat, Radio (working) and Clock (inop). Sports brand new Coker Radials with less than 500 miles!

A great road car!! She has been driven cross country on numerous occasions and delivers 17-21 MPG with the Air on!
