Ya gatta wonder how this happens, sure you see good barn finds that need a restoration but how many times do jewels like this come along? Oh, if they could just talk, what a story they could tell? Would it be a Cartoon, Maybe?! Yep, the colorful Ramón played by Cheech Marin in the Cartoon Cars was modeled after a 1959 Chevy Impala Sport Coupe! "How about some flames or old school pin striping", no way?? Anyway, Cars can come to life and this one speaks for itself with it's shocking originality! This survivor not only looks great but carries a special character that restored cars do not offer, simply original, unmolested and inviting in more ways than one! Good folk lore and its obvious condition show that this Lady was protected/preserved as "Part of the Family" for many many years!! Purchased by the original owner in up-state Corning,New York @ Ed Gatke Chevrolet with desirable factory options such as a Power Pak equipped 230HP 283 cubic inch 4-barrel V8, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Glide Automatic Transmission and Factory AM Radio with front & rear speakers. About a year or two later she was sold to an up-state PA owner who protected her for about 44 years then sold her to the current owner. So 3 owners and 69K miles of reality, that is an average of less 1,500 miles per year, WOW!  The current owner over the past few years has made her a safe & very enjoyable driver by completely rebuilding the front suspension (see sub-page) and making sure everything works! Yes. even the factory AM 4-speaker radio plays! An Amazing Survivor.........

Based on our inspection, her absolutely solid and virtually cancer free body (see sub-page photos) was correctly protected when new, before she ever left the dealer and/or shortly thereafter she was professionally under-coated by a 1959 process where every nook and cranny (inside qtrs/doors/fenders/undercarriage) was completely addressed. Many will recall this type of coverage as "Ziebart" where they place plastic plugs in access holes that were used to get inside where rust starts! Known Items: Free and Clear private party titled. Not Restored, PRESERVED! The body/trim are absolutely solid and straight with the paint appearing as 100% original with minor expected touch ups, flaws and patina. The interior also appears as original with common use/age/patina, some noted seam separation on drivers seat and age stains LR headliner. A very enjoyable driver that starts, drives and stops on a dime just like a well preserved original 59 Chevy should! Now as I always say, Not Perfect and Not New (none are) but an amazing survivor that will surprise and delight!!
