1956 Ford Big Job F-800

This 50 year young lady was purchased new by the Ontario, Oregon Fire Department  and 1st licensed on March 4th of 1957. History takes her to 1982, when she was passed on to the Huntington Oregon Fire Department. After 16 years of duty she was retired with 24,160 miles on her clicker! That was then and this today....

While the body was absolutely Rust Free from years of duty, she had sported more than 150 drill holes in the cab and nose from mounted accessories. During the restoration every single nut, bolt, line, hose, bushing, nook and/or  cranny was treated to the ultimate in restoration quality, imagination and superb craftsmanship! Over 1,400 Hours  and an unwavering financial commitment were needed to "Perfect this Honey"!! More....

Some creative modifications include a tandem 1998 Freightliner Rear Frame Clip (rear of cab back), F/L "Air-Leaf" air ride suspension, Rockwell 40,000 lb. rear axles assemblies with 3.73 gear ratio, 1977 Dodge B-700 Bus Front Axle, F/R converted to Full AIR Brakes. Power is provided by the original 332 cubic inch Lincoln based V8, Ram Horn Exhaust Manifolds and original 4 bbl Intake Manifold. Every component was completely rebuilt, "Custom, Creative and Very Functional"....
