Description
Have you been looking for a great nostalgia type early Ford? One that steps right up to an era long gone by?? Wouldn't it be nice if She was prepped with good late model power and suspension?? Maybe a bit of Rat Fink style pin-striping over a deep Jet Black mirror finish?? Well, here it is wrapped up in a nice neat Idaho Spud Package!! Completed just a few years ago, driven/enjoyed just enough to get the bugs out and neatly tucked away in dry storage!! The dry all steel body was removed from the frame, stripped naked, massaged to perfection with subtle body mods including: Frenched Headlights, V-Butted Front Safety Glass, Smoothed Firewall. Shaved Door Handles w/Electric Latches & Remotes, Shaved Deck Lid and Recessed License Plate!! What I find refreshing is the tasteful remaining factory Side Trim, Grill & Chrome! All polished and/or plated to perfection during the project! Once the body was prepped and smoothed She was treated to a lickable coat of Jet Black 2 stage basecoat/clearcoat and topped with the aforementioned Rat Fink Style Hand Laid Red Pin-Striping!! All of the glass is NEW and TEMPERED with a gray tint. Let's move onto the rolling stock!
While the body was receiving the attention, the frame was stripped, sandblasted, prepped for hardware and also treated to a nice coat of Black! Hardware includes: Chevy 350 V-8 w/Vortec Heads, Edelbrock Manifold / 4bbl Carb, K & N Air Filter, Ram Horn Exhaust Manifolds, Full Flowing 2 1/2 Rear Exit Duals w/ Flowmaster Mufflers, High Flow "Brass Works" Radiator, Thermostat Controlled Electric Cooling Fan, Polished Recovery System, Chrome High Amp Alternator, Relocated Battery to Trunk, Chrome Center Bolt Valve Covers and more! The power is transferred thru a Turbo 350 Auto Tranz w/Shift Kit, Aluminum Drive Shaft and finally a Ford "8" Rear Differential w/ good hi-way gears! To set the ride right along with good handling, the rear springs were re-worked while the front was fitted with Fully Independent Front Suspension with Manual Rack-N-Pinion Steering!! You Say STOP? Yes it has Front Disc Brakes with Vacuum Power Assist! The completed rolling stock rests on polished American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels (8" Front - 10" Rear) wrapped in Radial Rubber!
Hop inside into factory seating treated to period correct Cranberry Velour w/Gray Piping and Vinyl! Other necessities include: New Wiring & Fuse Panel by "Easy Wiring", Factory Gauges converted to 12 Volts, Speedo Calibrated, Tilt Steering Column, LeCarra Steering Wheel, Billet Knobs, Electric Trunk Release and MORE!
