1942 Ford Business Coupe Street Rod: Here's a Family Heirloom that's been revived to the World of Street Rod's! Sitting on the rod builders Family Homestead since 1957 in Conifer, Colorado, it was destined to become what you see today! A rare survivor indeed! Due to the Start of WWII, only 5400 coupes were built total and only 1600 of them were Business Coupe's like this one! 34 Years later in 1991, it began it's 2 year revitalization and is what you see today! Saved, Built & Completed by the current owners of 48 years, Street Rods by Dowdy. 

It's all steel original body was treated to some masterful massaging which includes: Chopped 3" inches, Frenched Headlights-License Plate, Shaved Handles-Chrome-Bumpers, All Body Seams Welded & Filled, Firewall set back 4" inches, Hand built Valances-Tail Lites-Park Lites-Running Boards, Custom Billet Grill and More! Completely finished in Ford Mocha Gold with Burgandy, Silver & Blue graphics topped with Glasurit Base-Coat/Clear-Coat! Sooper Slick!

The Chassis was completely enhanced with the following expensive and time consuming mods: Frame Boxed-Smoothed, Nova Front Clip Boxed-Smoothed with power assisted Disc Brakes, Bob Lewis rear suspension w/Coil Overs-Ladder Bars, Engine Set Back 5" inches, Braided Stainless Brake-Fuel-Heater Lines and More! All components nicely painted with a contrasting Brown show finish! Rounding out the rolling stock is a complete set of Boyd's Sunset Strip Billet Wheels wrapped in Radial Rubber! This dude rides/drives incredible! 

Powered a by smoothed, polished, painted body color and dressed 454 Chevy Big Block hooked to a Turbo 350 Auto Tranz equipped with the following components: High Performance Cam, Hypereutectic Pistons, 750 cfm 4bbl Edelbrock Carb, Customized Mallory Dual Point Distributor, Hand Built Headers/Exhaust, Custom Built Radiator w/ Electric Fan, Polished Alternator, Custom Billet Valve Covers-Air Filter, Power Steering, Hand Built Billet Pulleys-Brackets-Radiator Fill Housing-Plug Wire Separators-Hose Separators and much more! Finally, it runs sooper strong and never even thinks about over-heating! Cool & Tight!!

Now Hop inside too professionally sculptured Tweed wrapped around 1987 Nissan 300ZX Bucket Seats, Custom Back Seat and Custom Door Panels with trick trim that matches body/dash graphics! A Custom Hand Built Console with "LOW 42" engraved in Billet! Known Items: Professionally built (Rods by Dowdy) and completed in 1993 with just under 6,700 tested/enjoyed miles since complete! Incredible attention to Detail! Runs, Starts and Drives Perfectly! The body is sooper slick and in well cared for condition with expected age flaws, chips and minor touched up areas. Still very much a looker and needs nothing but you! You are buying it from the Builder who knows it's complete history and build stats! A complete build Book with prior/during restoration Photos included!!
