1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Two Door Coupe

Well folks I come up with some real doozies and this solid survivor is just begging for a revitalization! Just outta 30 years of dry storage! Street Rod Material plus or a great candidate for a complete original resto!! Maybe we should not stop there because you can drive this original jewel just the way she is! I did!! Overall an amazing piece of history to say the least! Just think this little lady is 63 years young and still raps some real good tunes outta her six banger with a split manifold and new dual exhaust! Yee Haw! Wild Thing I think you move me But I wanna know for sure! She runs and shifts great!! You make my heart sing and everything is groovy! Don't spend your hard earned money fixing a rust bucket when you can start with excellent body like this one! Take a real good look at the pictures and it's amazing overall original condition is shocking! So what are you waiting for GO BID! VERY AFFORDABLE!! Cars like this don't come along too often So, as I always say, if Ya SNOOZE, Ya LOOSE! BUY NOW!! GOOD LUCK!!!! 

Known Items: A 30+ year old finish that has some minor paint checking on misc spots and is very thin in most areas (you get what you see). No signs of any bondo or excess body repairs. The exterior body is super solid with no signs of rust! The floor pans are also solid with only one noted minor rust spot where the RR running board attaches to underside, 1 inch or less by about 2-3 inches, (take a real close look at the underside pix bottom right and you will see)! Super solid! The RR board is also not attached at the front of the rear fender with no signs of rust on the fender or board (fastener?). All chrome is fair to good and appears all original which should you give you real good idea of it's dry/solid Idaho Body! The stainless trim is great!! All glass is good with no cracks! The interior and headliner is very usable and a minor 1 inch separation/tear exists in the center of the front seat and is believed to be the original interior? No major staining. Comes with 5 original 16" wheels with factory trim rings and hub caps (see caps in trunk). Currently riding on 15" wheels with Olds Hub caps and New Radials!  The brakes are weak and should be fixed immediately! Felt like an adjustment or replacement issue and more than likely not a hydraulic issue!  The A/C (Dash Fan,Ha Ha!) is inoperative! The Factory Radio, Clock and Horn are also inoperative! All gauges worked and this baby drove GREAT! New Tune Up parts were installed and the carb has been overhauled! The Dual Exhaust is brand spankin new! The nice thing is that it is ALL THERE!! Sold As-Is, Not New, Not Perfect but a real jewel and a great survivor!
