Description

Have you been looking for a great vintage drop top that can be driven and enjoyed? One that looks good with original character? It must be originally produced as an Early Ford Drop Top Convertible? The power must be from the same era, in other words a Flathead V8? Last but not least, it must be affordable?? If any of the above applies to you, this car may be the ticket!

Purchased by the current owner several years ago from a seller in California with no extended history other than what you see! Over the past few years, he has done numerous needed items and is ready to enjoy! Some of the items tended to include the following!  A "New" Sweet Sounding Powder-Coated dual exhaust system with Redneck Headers and Smitty Mufflers! The hood had a common crack near the L side hood support which was repaired, the hood was refinished along with a few minor touch-ups and she was buffed/polished!  Other than that she has been occasionally enjoyed and the only reason for selling is needed room!

Her body is very straight, the paint is of Good Driver Quality and looks good from a short distance! An original steel 37 Flathead V8 Cabriolet frame/body with fiberglass doors and rear fenders! The stock front suspension has a 2 1/2" inch dropped axle while the front shocks are gas type, the stock rear arm type shocks are still in place! A full set of Big-N-Little smoothie wheels with trim rings and spinner hub caps are wrapped in radial rubber! For safety, the factory mechanical brakes have been up-dated with 1940 Type Juice (hydraulic) Brakes. It has been converted to a 12V power system! The Flathead starts, runs, sounds good and drives great!

Hop inside, the stock trim surfaces have been covered with a subtle cream vinyl from front to rear! An up-dated AM/FM CD player mounted under dash plays great oldies! Power windows have been added for convenience! For safety, seat belts have been added front and rear!  Other than that, all stock gauges, steering column, are in place and appear to be in good working order with the exception of the gas gauge! The Canvas Convertible Top is in very good condition, outside and inside!

In Closing, An older restoration that Runs and Drives GREAT! Ready to Enjoy! Please see known items below and let the detailed pictures, including sub-page, tell the rest of the story! EASY FINANCING GOOD LUCK!!!!

Known Items: An older partial resto-rod restoration of unknown age but I would estimate 7-10 years. The Doors and Rear Fenders are fiberglass replacements while the rest of the body/hood/trunk are original Henry! Minor imperfections do exist but GREAT Driver quality that looks good from a short distance. The floor pans are very solid and appear to be original with some minor common age/rust perforations noted at the rear center close to the drive line. They have been treated, expoxied and overall solid dry climate floor pans. The Flathead V8 starts good, smooth power and sounds great with common oil leaks/seepage. The steering is factory manual and operates easily. The clutch is soft and the trans shifts era correct. The gas gauge is inop. Not Perfect and Not New (none are) but this is a great little driver that's very affordable compared to other steel specimens! There are not many left!! Again, let the 2 web pages of detailed photos tell the rest of the story, Paul Harvey!
