Listing Description

1932 Ford Highboy Roadster Bonneville Streeter - "AHH" The Essence of Hot Rodding in a Timeless Capsule! Have you ever thought, what is the definition of a Hot Rod Today and/or Yesterday? What makes yesterday, today? In today's world, our possibilities are endless! Technology allows us to re-create toys of the past as functional Adrenaline Producing Art! Let's face it, as we get older we live with dreams of yesterday, today! Nothing captures a Boomers imagination better than visions of yesterday wrapped up in today! Have I lost ya? I tried! A masterful "All Steel" recreation with flawless fit/finish of each and every detail! An entirely new car that is totally dependent upon yesterdays style while incorporating today's high tech wares!

It all starts with a Pete & Jakes boxed Deuce Chassis reinforced with tubular cross-members. The rear frame horns were bobbed, hidden with a small roll pan and it's rear fuel tank was creatively relocated to leave a perfect rear view of the Heritage built within. Where did the fuel tank go? Consider twin stainless tanks strategically placed between the frame rails of each side and out of view! This touch lowers the center of gravity, provides a near perfect front/rear weight ratio of 52/48 and offers legroom for the smiling passengers in your rumble seat! Up front, it rides on a Superbell dropped axle connected by So-Cal Bat-Wings and Hairpins. Out back, the AWESOME polished "V8" Halibrand Quick Change Differential is connected to the chassis via "new traditional" chromed suspension with Ladder Bars and Coil-Over's! You say you need Brakes? All Four corners are equipped with Wilwood Disc Brakes! Say What? In order to stay with the Vintage theme, the fronts are hidden behind So-Cal Finned Drums and Polished Backing Plates! Way too Slick! Now that we have the rolling chassis covered, let's move on to traditional power by FORD!

Yes I said FORD! Resting between the front legs is a "Jasper" built 351 Windsor small block stroked to 395 Cubes that pumps out a whopping 400HP at 5000 rpm and 440 ft lbs of torque at 3,800 rpm!  Equipped with "Keith Black" flat-top pistons, Molly rings. Jasper type III cam, Dart Aluminum Heads, Edelbrock Intake, Holley 650 4bbl Carb, HPC Coated Sanderson Headers and Dressed in Classic Edelbrock finned aluminum valve covers with matching Oval Air Filter! It's stout power is transferred through a Center Force clutch attached to a close ratio Richmond 5-speed with a warp speed final drive (5th) ratio of 1:1! Consider this! Weighing in @ 2,600 lbs with you at the wheel (200lbs) each of those 400 horses needs to carry only 6.5 pounds! WOW! I smell tire smoke on demand! Not only is it built to go, it's incredibly fun to drive and it's FORD POWERED! Fasten yer seat belts and Hang On!

Now it's time to slide on the SOOPER slick all steel and very high quality "Rod-Bod" that wonderfully captures reflections in Jet Black! The choice of color is perfect! Tastefully adorned with abundant Chrome, Deuce Grill Shell, Shaved Radiator Cap, Louvered Hood Panels (top-sides), Laid Back So-Cal Windshield, Shaved Handles, 39 Ford Tail-Lights and classically completed with TRUE 16" Halibrand Knock-Offs, 6"s in the front and 8"'s in the rear, equipped with Hairpin Safety Clips! Maybe you better get in! A classic four-spoke Bell style Steering Wheel says, "Grab Me"! Quality Ox Blood saddle type Leather adorns the Seat, Side Panels and Rumble Seat! Both Driver & Passengers seating area are treated to Heated Seats! An engine-turned Dash Insert equipped with red-on-white Classic Instruments, invites your attention! The easy to remove Sid Chavers Bop Top comes off in one piece and/or can be easily broken down, bagged and put in the trunk! Space saving authentic appearance and light weight! I think you get the idea!  TOO SWEET!

In closing, I believe the Senior Editor, Gerry Burger of "American Rodder", captured this car's essence perfectly in a Cover Feature "A Matter of Black on White" in March of 2003, "this Roadster embodies the Spirit of Bonneville and the Heritage of Hot Rodding" and goes on to say, "this is one of those cars whose total is greater than the sum of its parts" Now that you have a taste of the flavor of this incredible rod, hold on for a Wild Ride! Don't Be Shy! This one is a very special creation and you must pay to play! Let It All Hang Out! BUY NOW! EASY FINANCING GOOD LUCK!!!!
